We know that Prinsu's won't work on ours, so we assume it won't work the other way around. Sorry we have not tested it specifically.

We haven't, but it should work well. You may have to open up the slots for the larger hi-lift hardware however.

Hoping to use the awning mount with a JW off-road roof rack. Attaching to the crossbars shouldn’t be an issue but saw the question regarding them not being compatible with a prinsu rack. Would it be possible to confirm fitment or get a few dimensions to verify prior to ordering?

Will these work to mount a RoadShower? Is there a weight limit? (10 gallons of water plus the roadshower = ~100lbs)

The best place for a road shower would be on top of the rack. That weight cantilevered on the outside of the rack would put some interesting loads on the rack sides and roof mounts with water moving around. The awning mounts themselves would be fine, however; we just haven't tested the rest of the rack in that config.

I can't see the face of the mounts. Are there slots (vertical) that the awning mounting screws go into that allow for adjustment or just holes with no vertical adjustment. I have a topper that is 4" higher than the cab with Yakima towers on it. I need to mount the awning to the two Yakima crossbar ends and then have 1 more mount on the cab Victory Roof Rack which is lower than the cap mounts. Hoping that your mounts allow for vertical adjustment to be level with cap Yakima mounts.

They aren't designed for that. Usually with a bed rack some universal 90 degree brackets will work fine, many awnings include them.

Will this mount to a 2000 Toyota Land Cruiser?
I Have an awesome roof rack, everything else on my truck (Sporty) is ARB, except the roof rack.
We also have 2 Lexus LX470’s - a white 2000 {Swampy as he had a snorkel and we off-road in Picayune State Park in SWFL.
And the 3rd (Fancy) is a black 2001 FX470
I also love the single and double black metal gas can holders for my Land cruiser. My bumper is ARB, but so swing out for a spare as we all have amazing off-road tires.

These are designed for the smaller awnings, the 270s usually have taller extrusion. You should be able to mount a 270 awning "L" bracket right to the top of the cross bars. You may need a small spacer under the "L"s to clear the sides of the rack.

Can a FSP Odyssey 55 inch RTT sit on top of this awning bracket? I use the 7/8 inch RTT mounting brackets to mount the FSP RTT. But I'm not sure if there is enough space to mount this awning bracket to my victory roof rack under the RTT... Look forward to your reply!

How much of a difference in load bearing limits are there depending on the lateral mounting position relative to the rack? In other words, do I need to mount it as inboard as possible? Or can I extend it outwards

Hey Victory folks. I have one of your universal baskets on my Grand Cherokee. I figured the awning mount would be compatible with the universal basket, and I ordered it. Just came in the mail. Super nice. I'm thinking I may have made a mistake cuz it doesn't look like the mount will fit over the side of the basket and attach to the beam. Am I right that I was wrong? Or am i missing something and these will work? Cheers and thanks!

Depending on the tent, you may need to raise it a bit to clear the awning mounts. We offer 1" and 3" RTT riser mounts for this purpose.

270 awnings can put quite a bit of stress on the mounts if they aren't adequately supported or if they aren't properly tied down and are lifted by high winds.

That shouldn't be an issue as long as it is not a 270 or 180 degree awning and the mounts are evenly spaced.

Looking through the images and installation doc there appear to be 3 different brackets shown. Image 1 shows a bracket that attaches to a single side of the crossbar and has a larger amount of room to slide along the rail. Image 2 shows a horseshoe design that attaches to both sides of the crossbar and has much less room to slide along the rail. The installation document shows the horseshoe design but with slotted mounting provisions instead of drilled holes. I am not sure which is representative of the product. Can you please provide some clarification?

Why would this not work with a 180 awning? I have an OVS 180 LTE awning and it looks to have the same specs as my standard awning. Is it a weight issue?

Generally 180 degree awnings have a larger distance between the two mounting channels which is why we do not recommend these mounts for 180 degree awnings.

Overall sturdy bracket. Problem is they claim to be universal but there's a decent size gap from the bracket wall to bolt thats inside the roof rack bar. Had to go to home depot to buy longer screws and 8 washers to fill the gap up.
Note From Victory 4x4: Brandon with this mount installed on one of our racks? There should not be a gap when installed on our racks. If you are still having issues, please contact our tech support team. Sorry for the hassles!
