In the second gen install, it seems to me that the back of the panel (the side closest to the tail end of the truck) would be tight up against the center console if no spacer is used. Is that the case? i.e.Is there enough clearance between the panel and console to actually use that side of the panel? And if not, could you use the spacers on that side?

California regulation requires us to put that notice on any product that may contain components that cause cancer. Since this product contains powder coat with a zinc primer, we erred on the side of caution. Technically the powder coat is a risk only when the actual powder is airborne, not after it's baked, unless you plan on eating the finish we guess... regardless, we'd rather not get sued by California.

I've got two questions: 1) What kind of holster are you showing in the advertisement pictures? and 2) It looks like there are some consistently negative reviews lately (early 2021) regarding the hardware that's included... any plans to address that?

1) There are different holsters posted, but all are just cheapies from Amazon. 2) We have had very few actual customer issues with the hardware, but some have a perception that it's not strong enough. The solution would be to source some small machine screws, washers, and nuts; then disassemble the console to install these panels with that hardware. That install would be up to the customer, but there is no downside to trying it our way first.

the brackets could kill a man, but the hardware is too cheap. The biggest design flaw is that the screws are too short and not thick enough. In the directions for install it says use a 1/8 pick or drill bit....i suggest 1/16. Paying $100 is not worth it, the hardware needs to be changed.....with that being said the the screws will fall out over time from leg rubbing and if you have a holster pulling the pistol out and putting back in will eventually make this happen as well. The design is the bees knees but the mounting hardware needs another approach. I will be modifying this and will be back with some answers hopefully.

I love my molle panel, since they aren't side specific I split the cost with a buddy and we both got one. Great way to declutter the interior a little bit!

Shipping wasn't any slower than the lead time said it would be. Install was super easy. There's enough space between the console and panel to easily attach most of the things you'd like. Seems to be anchored well, time will tell.
Now the bad, mine had a few blemishes in the powder coating, not that big of a deal. The bad ones are on the back side and the small ones are cover by a pouch or holster.
A Nit pick. The supplied hardware could be a little longer (like an 1/8") to help accommodate holsters with a thicker belt clip. Or I could have put the holster on it before installing.
In all I'm every satisfied, looking forward to dealing with Victory 4x4 again.

I used the provided screws for installation and the panels seem very sturdy. Originally I would planning on removing the panel and housing nuts and bolts, but unless one of the screws pulls through, I don't think I'll need to reinforce them.
I mounted my CB radio and first aid on the passenger side and my flashlight, Kershaw, multi-tool on the driver's side and left room for a holster (undecided.)
They look great and have gotten compliments. Overall I'm satisfied.

Received the center counsel molle panel for my 06 Taco. Shipping was super fast, and it was packaged well. Did not received with damages or scratches on the powder coating finish. Panel is pretty solid and firm. Not flimsy at all. Installation was pretty simple. Good quality item form Victory 4x4. Keep up the good work guys!!

It took almost a month to receive this item. Not sure what the holdup was other than they make them to order. That's cool and I appreciate it but it would have been nice to get the item sooner. Taking nothing away from the quality though because when I did get the item it was clear that is of high quality. Install took about 20-30 minutes and the pannels look awesome. They are thick so keep that in mind when you are considering items to mount. I had some trouble with that. Otherwise great product from a quality company and made in USA!!!
