TL;DR: Order goes in, sits in line for a bit, gets built, ships in 2-3 days once production starts, shows up at your door. Most of the wait is queue time, not build time.

You didn't order a bumper because you needed a bumper. You ordered it because you've got a trip planned, or a build you've been chipping away at, or a rig you're finally getting around to finishing up. The part is just one piece of that.

So when people ask us "when's my order actually shipping," we get it. You're not just tracking a package. You're waiting on the next step.

Here's what's actually happening on our end.

Why the timeline moves around
Your part doesn't take longer to build in December than it does in July. There's just more stuff ahead of it in line.

We build everything to order. Nothing's sitting pre-made on a shelf, which is the only way we can keep fit and quality tight across every vehicle we support. But it also means when a lot of people order at once (looking at you, November through April shoppers), it just takes longer to work through the queue.

That's why we update our timeline page regularly, so you can plan around it instead of wondering.
What actually happens after you hit order

You place the order.
Confirmation email, spot in line locked in. Done in about 30 seconds.

You wait in line.
This is most of the timeline, honestly. Orders go in the order they came in. No cutting the line, no exceptions.

Production starts, then it ships.
Once your order's at the front, our guys cut, weld, assemble, and finish it. From start of production to out the door is 2-3 business days. This part goes fast, most of your wait already happened before this.

Tracking hits your inbox.
First sign things are actually moving.

It shows up.
Boxes open, wrenches come out. This is the good part.

Why we don't just keep everything in stock
Building up stock inventory eats into the same capacity that's building your order. Every hour spent building inventory is an hour we’re not building someone’s order.

So we make to order. A real order, with a real name attached to it. Our team knows they’re building Haden’s bumper headed to Arizona, not another anonymous part for inventory. There’s pride in that.
