A 02/02/2021, 12:30:16 PM It is not, just the Strike II
Q John Haller • 02/14/2021, 9:51:42 PM OK - maybe a different question. If you have a Thule bike rack like the one linked here mounted in the hitch (on maybe a 7" - 12" extender) will the swing-out clear the Thule rack when the Thule rack is folded down? Thanks
A 02/15/2021, 1:16:04 PM It really depends on the vehicle model of bumper you are attaching this carrier to. In our experience it usually does not however on most vehicles.
Q Diondre • 02/15/2021, 2:02:59 AM Is there a 2nd gen Tacoma bumper compatible with this yet?
A 02/15/2021, 1:16:04 PM Not yet.
Q John • 02/15/2021, 4:55:34 PM I like the modularity of the adventure carrier. Question - I understand to remove a carrier you just take off the bolt on the bottom and pull the whole thing out, spindle and all. But wouldn't the spindle just rotate freely in the bumper? How do you grab the spindle and stop it from rotating if the nut is tight and it's been on there a while? Thanks, probably overthinking it.
A 02/26/2021, 10:25:49 AM There is enough tension from the top nut/carrier weight to hold it in place to break the bottom loose.
Q Chris Durkee • 02/27/2021, 1:39:09 AM Does it come with the latch bracket or does that come with the bumper? If they come with the bumper, would you sell them separately?
A 03/01/2021, 3:13:17 PM They come with the carrier, please contact us directly to order them separately.
Q Jayden • 03/04/2021, 1:50:28 PM Would this fit a 2005 Subaru Forester?

Q Brent Taylor • 03/05/2021, 5:35:27 PM I already have a custom steel bumper from a different company on my GX 470. Could the adventure carrier rear bumper swing-out possibly be made to work on my bumper?
A 03/08/2021, 1:18:58 PM It would likely require fabrication on your end.
Q Kristen • 03/31/2021, 11:06:37 AM Will this fit a 2006 Nissan Pathfinder R51 SE
A 04/02/2021, 1:17:54 PM It will not.
Q Tom • 04/07/2021, 12:08:24 PM Just to verify, this does fit a gx 470?

Q Sean • 05/24/2021, 12:55:29 PM Will this work on a 08 fj cruiser? If not, do you have 1 that will?
A 06/04/2021, 10:30:55 AM We are making a rear bumper for the FJ that will receive these. No ETA at this time however.
Q James • 05/26/2021, 4:33:08 PM Will this, LH side, close properly IF I have a Nash Fab Co. Curved ladder on the pass side also? I'm looking to open my rear door and open the Swing out on the opposite....
A 06/04/2021, 10:30:55 AM As long as the swing and ladder are on opposite sides of the vehicle it should not be a problem. You can't run a hatch ladder and a swing on the same side however.
Q Dakota • 06/14/2021, 4:49:30 AM Does this one fit a 2003 4runner
A 06/25/2021, 11:53:18 AM Nothing yet, but eventually we will have a full bumper system.
Q Adryan mitcham • 06/26/2021, 10:15:20 PM Are you making a bumper for a second gen 4Runner yet?

Q Sean G • 08/16/2021, 6:27:03 PM Is there a max weight limit on the adventure carrier in its swing out state?
A 09/02/2021, 12:29:40 PM We don't have an official weight limit, but we try and keep it under 200 lbs in our installs here. Easier on all the components, and easier to manage opening and closing the carrier.
Q Coley Oliver • 08/26/2021, 6:26:09 AM I have and ADD Stealth Fighter bumper on my 14' Tundra. Could I retrofit it to accept one of these?
A 09/02/2021, 3:54:08 PM Anything can fit depending on how much fabrication you want to do.
Q Doug • 09/01/2021, 9:36:21 AM Can you add a 2" receiver for a bike rack on the end of the swingout to accept a platform bike carrier that could carry up to 4 mountain bikes? Kind of like the RIGd hitch tire carrier.
A 09/02/2021, 3:54:08 PM We have tested this, and the amount of flex at the end of the back rack was unacceptable.
Q Lee • 09/08/2021, 5:09:33 PM What comes with this? And does it fit on a 2019 4Runner
A 09/09/2021, 10:31:13 AM This includes all the mounting hardware necessary to install it on our 5th Gen Strike Rear Bumper (not included). Accessories are available separately (see related products below).
Q Ross • 09/13/2021, 5:03:14 PM Where is this rear bumper you have for the Tacoma? It doesn't exist on your site...
A 09/15/2021, 3:20:32 PM We no longer offer the cut style rear bumper. Our current rear bumper doesn't require cutting the bed sides and still allows for carriers.
Q Alex • 10/02/2021, 11:11:23 AM Will 37” tires be fine with this?
A 10/05/2021, 5:33:34 PM The swing can handle it no problem, but it may be an issue with the tire blocking the taillight depending on vehicle model. Contact our customer service team for more help on this.
Q Frank • 10/22/2021, 5:14:01 PM Once the spindle and gears are installed, if i need to remove the swing out arm to transport larger drywall and have my tailgate down, how is it removed?...is it pretty simple?...if it's just the bottom bolt keeping it on, when you're removing it does the spindle and gears need to be removed, or does it come off in 1 piece?
A 10/25/2021, 11:38:23 AM You can remove the spindle cap and nut on top only, then lift the carrier off of the spindle. You can then leave the spindle in place or remove it as well and cap off the spindle sleeve.
Q Eric • 12/29/2021, 10:51:13 AM Will the Tundra model fit a 2015 Toyota Sequoia?
A 12/29/2021, 1:23:48 PM It will not, but the Sequoia is on our list for the future!
Q Victor Monjaraz • 01/23/2022, 2:18:01 PM Do I have to buy the other swing and for the Jerry can rack?
A 01/24/2022, 12:11:55 PM The Jerry Can mount will work on either carrier. If you plan to run it with a spare, you will need two carriers.
Q Chance • 04/12/2022, 12:40:35 PM What is the max tire size/ weight it can hold?
A 04/27/2022, 12:01:31 PM We have ran a 37 on it at the shop without issues.
Q Joseph G • 05/05/2022, 11:57:41 PM What comes with this? Does it also include the lights on the bumper and does it fit on a 2016 GX460? Thank you
A 05/06/2022, 11:19:33 AM This is the Adventure Carrier and it comes with the mounting hardware to install it on one of our Strike Rear Bumpers. It will work with the GX460 Rear Strike Bumper. Lights are not included.
Q Chris • 06/04/2022, 1:11:58 PM for Strike install on Gx470 If I use right side swing out for mounting stock rim & tire will it block oem camera. it appears there is some adjustability for tire mount but not sure.
A 06/06/2022, 2:52:11 PM There is some adjustability for the tire mount. With a tire on the carrier, at least part of the camera view will be obstructed. Depending on your setup, you may want to relocate the camera to the spare using our Camera Relocation Bracket.
Q Kyle Roberts • 08/22/2022, 0:16:20 AM What is the swing out length. From hinge to end of the swing out? Thx
A 08/23/2022, 1:59:59 PM 27" From the center of the spindle to the edge of the carrier.

Q Bill • 10/12/2022, 10:11:22 PM What size hitch pin fits in the lever safety lock
A 10/20/2022, 10:16:58 AM 5/16" is the max size.
Q david bevins • 10/21/2022, 1:41:20 PM what antenna mount is on the red 4 runner in the adventure carrier gallery?
A 10/27/2022, 10:07:38 AM Sorry, that was a customer's rig and we aren't sure.
Q Eric Thierjung • 11/08/2022, 11:04:02 AM What is the weight rating for each Adventure swing out? I'm thinking about a spare tire and receiver for bike rack on one side at approximately 175lbs total.
A 11/14/2022, 12:42:37 PM We don't have an official weight limit, but we try and keep it under 200 lbs in our installs here. Easier on all the components and easier to manage to open and closing the carrier. Depending on the bike rack length and leverage you may need to stay well under that weight, though. We also recommend careful periodic inspection of the carrier, spindle, and latch with this much weight.
Q Jared • 11/25/2022, 4:54:55 PM Will this work with a 2007 Toyota Land Cruiser
A 12/01/2022, 10:38:33 AM Mounted to this bumper, yes: https://www.victory4x4.com/product/V100RS.html
Q David • 01/23/2023, 2:36:53 AM How do you take the spare tire off on the trail? I watched the install video, excellent video by the way!! Is it an involved process? I’m installing the camera and license plate relocated kit. Thank you
A 01/30/2023, 4:39:19 PM You unbolt the two pieces of the license plate bracket and disconnect the wires before removing the spare. Very quick process.
Q Greg • 02/07/2023, 12:06:35 PM Do you make, or is there a way to hook up, a bike mount to the adventure carrier/bumper?
A 02/14/2023, 4:18:03 PM We don't make anything at this time.
Q Jeffrey Sass • 03/18/2023, 10:07:38 PM Do you have a swing-out carrier for a '94 80-Series LC?
A 03/21/2023, 2:54:02 PM We do not currently.
Q James Fuentes • 05/14/2023, 9:05:46 PM Can I install this on a stock bumper on a 2019 tundra?

Q kent • 05/24/2023, 7:00:17 PM Can the carrier and latch be installed with the bumper already on the vehicle? i have the strike bumper for 100 series landcruiser
A 06/22/2023, 10:32:43 AM Yes, but it would be pretty difficult, you may need to loosen the bumper up to adjust slightly. It would be best to install before the bumper if possible.
Q Shaw • 07/12/2023, 1:22:47 AM Is this higher than 3rd gen Tacoma tailgate? Looking to lift up the truck cap glass without having to swing out the carrier.
A 11/21/2023, 2:33:32 PM It does sit slightly higher than the top of the tailgate.
Q Bjorn Clouten • 07/14/2023, 12:33:58 PM I need to replace the bearings. What is the appropriate bearing spec?

Write a Product Review: Adventure Carrier | Rear Bumper Swing-out
Tracy Rolstad (Spokane, WA) | July 11th, 2023
Awesome setup. I am typing this review from Whitehorse, YT. The Adventure Carrier and fuel rack helped me “save” a motorcyclist who ran out of gas on the Alaska Highway. These carriers are beasts! I run a 11 pound propane tank on one side (with a DIY table that holds my stove) and ten gallons of fuel on the other side. These carriers are tweakable to your needs. Expensive yes…but cry once and enjoy what they provide you for capability.
Note From Victory 4x4: Awesome Tracy, thank you!
Daric Morton (Tucson) | March 26th, 2022
I purchased both the left and right Adventure Carriers. Extremely well built and strong. I love the open design. I mounted the spare tire on one and my traction boards and hi-lift jack on the other one. Easy and secure. DOES NOT RATTLE

Why other manufacturers haven’t caught onto the modularity design is beside me. So much functionality in just one piece. What I love the most about the adventure carrier is how versatile it can be. Most “overland” folks buy stuff because it looks cool and they get stuck with a bumper that (from other manufacturers ) can’t be changed later when they realize they didn’t really need or like something they thought they just had to have because they saw it on Instagram. This bumper allows you to at any time change that setup up to what is actually important or needed. Unlike others where you spend a months salary or more on a bumper that well you’re just stuck with your decision and can’t do anything about it without permanently removing or adding. I love the fact that I can have my dual Jerry holder and fold down table when I’m going out for a weekend or a week then when I get home I can shed all that. I also love the fact that when I go somewhere I won’t need 50+lb fuel and water on my truck I can switch it up and add the maxtrax and rotopax holder and still be covered. Or if I want to run a bare setup I’m good to go. The adventure carries are what sold me on the victory bumper and I don’t think you’ll find anything else near the quality and modularity as these.
Bird Dog Overland (Chicago) | March 24th, 2021
These function great and look wonderful. Some people only get one side, but I’m glad I got two. Spare tire on the passenger and ladder attachment, hi lift mount, and a license plate mount on the driver.
Stephen husarik (California) | September 18th, 2020
