This universal bed rack system allows for mounting almost anything, (rooftop tents, kayaks, bikes, snowboards...) freeing up valuable bed space for other trip essentials. Comes coated with a 2 stage satin textured black powdercoat over durable zinc primer finish.

FAQ
Does it work with bed covers?
Any cover where the structure or the cover itself extends more than 3/16" or so over the tops of the bed rails isn't going to work. We've had good luck running the Access Roll-Up covers in both the vanish and the original. You will need to trim the bottom of the mounting rails of the cover where they go over the rack mounts inside and add some extra gasket material for a good seal. Rolling it up is possible with both heights, but it's really a PITA on the shorter rack, so take this into account. A quick video about this coming soon.
How much weight does it handle?
It's stronger than the bed of the truck, but unfortunately, we don't have an official load rating on these kinds of force on that. We've ran this design loaded down with an RTT, hi-lift, shovel, axle, and mountain bikes on trails all over the country without issues. We do recommend running our bed stiffeners with this setup for additional strength: Tacoma Bed Stiffeners
What do I do about the blocked high mount stop lamp?
There are holes on this rack to accept an aftermarket led brake light on the rear of the rack.

The longer rack will not fit on the short bed. We made the bars as stretched as possible on the short bed while still keeping as much strength as possible.

Yes, no problem. Be sure to protect the hammock strap from the sharp edges of the rack or permanently attach a properly rated eye bolt somewhere on the rack for ease of setup.

Without drilling, your ranges (on center) for the front to back bars are: 11.85" to 14.5" and 27.85" to 30.5" OR you can mount the tent on the side to side bars with a width range of 41" to 37", 34.5" to 30.5", 28" to 24, or 21.5" to 17.5." The front to back span (on center) of the side to side bars is 46.8 for the short bed or 58.8 for the long bed.

We run two more rocky mounts on the top (or 3) all the time. Works great. We usually just strap the rear tires to the back crossbar of the rack.

The slots are designed for a light that has mounting holes 0.375" to 4.125" on center and uses up to 5/16 bolts. Many of the small rectangular truck clearance lights you see on trailers will fit. Also there are some mini chase lights that work great, we like the Baja Designs RTL-M.

1. We often use spacers to mount the tent up enough to clear our cab rack or the shark fin. Our VRKRTT spacers will add an inch and will also work with the bed rack. The VBR-3RTT will add 3".
2. Universal J mount kayak mounts should allow a kayak to clear the cab.
3. Our Overland Bed Rack VT23XBR will clear a softopper and add more height for mounting a tent since it's the same height as our cab rack.

Yes, although with the 5' bed Tacoma and mid-height rack it will hang back over the rear quite a bit. With the full-height rack and 5' bed, we would recommend some tent risers to balance it over the cab some.

4" Rectangle RED LED clearance lights (like for trailers) fit the hole pattern. If you want brighter, look at the Baja Designs RTL-M Mini LED Rear Light Bar.

Awesome quality rack, my only complaint is the rack is a little too close to the cab l. Made installing rtt difficult. Maybe offer shorter crossbars and molle panels to use with different size tents and create more space between the cab.

This rack has worked as advertised. Purchased the bike rack accessories as well. Had to modify the back tire portion of the bike rack in order for the bikes to not touch the truck tent we have. All works great. Sturdy, nice looking. Am keeping it on year round.

I'm really enjoying the rack. Holds and handles everything I need it too. The only negative thing is I have noticed some rust spots here and there around the welds and the mounting holes. As if the coating didn't get done all the way. Not enough to be concerned able and very easy to fix. If your not in Florida this may never be an issue for you. Here everything rusts. All in all I'm very impressed with the rank the easy install and look. I have recommended it to multiple people.

Had a great 7028-mile road trip and I used the Victory Mid-level bed rack and roof rack systems that made my trip the best in years. My Victory 4X4 bed rack and Access Vanish T cover work so well together and I get SO many compliments. While everyone else has dirty and wet boxes and beds mine is dry and very clean looking! The install videos were great but I had to get creative when installing the cover with the bed rack. The one video they have with the vanish cover is helpful but Access since has upgraded the cover and it was a little different. The install took me almost all day to figure it out, been trying to get around to do an install video of it but it was well worth the effort to make it fit! I will be buying the roof rack and all sorts of other additions from them soon!
