As others have reported, the front feet don’t appear to align just right and is causing chipping of the paint. Not good, hopefully there is a fix. Otherwise, everything seems very satisfactory.
Note From Victory 4x4: Thank you for the review. The front feet and rubber bumpers are designed to sit into the rain gutter channel before everything is tightened up. That way they hold tight into the channel, if it done in this way they should not hit any paint, we will do our best to clarify this install step in the install document. Also if the rack is installed/adjusted with the front up higher than designed this can be an issue. Please feel free to reach out to our customer service team for clarification and help with your install.

I evaluated a few roof racks and landed on Victory for a couple reasons: competitive pricing, no lead time (when I ordered), and great reviews around quality, service, and craftsmanship. Overall, the rack is well built, but because it's made of aluminum, it lacks rigidity. Taking it off road or in windy conditions, the rack will flex. I also have an awning mounted to one side of the rack, which adds to the torquing of the rack. The biggest complaint I have, and is why I removed a star, is that the front feet don't sit snug or flush in the roof rain channels. Coupled with the previously mentioned torquing of the rack, I'm having issues of the front feet constantly chipping my roof, exposing to bare steel, to the point where I'm starting to see small signs of rust.
Note From Victory 4x4: Hey Steve, thanks for the review, we will reach out to you to try and troubleshoot what is going on, everything should be solid.

This rack looks great and was relatively easy to put together. I would definitely recommend this beast to anyone that wants their 4Runner to stand out. I purchased the ladder to go with it and it is just as cool. I just wished the rack came with the black stainless bolts like the ladder did and how knows that may have slipped through QC

Well I’m not one to really write reviews, but I was more than impressed with this roof rack! It’s quality it’s top notch and better than those tube racks everyone loves!! Hint hint... it gives such an aggressive look and modern look to the car. It’s only been a week and lost count on how many compliments I’ve received. But seriously I recommend this roof rack. The price is right and the quality is amazing. Trust me you won’t be disappointed. 😬

I purchased this rack back in August for a trip to Sedona Arizona. The rack came very well packaged. It was beautifully made and fit perfectly on the 4Runner. The video instruction was detailed and easy to follow. I installed a rooftop tent on the rack, and there were still a lot of room left for other things such as solar panels, and containers. I love the look of the rack. Gives the 4Runner that off-road rugged look that I wanted. The only negative thing about the rack (not a Victory problem, more of a Toyota 4Runner problem) is that the 4Runner does not have the front slot on the roof to bolt the rack down and I didn’t want to drill into the roof. Because of this, the front of the rack just sits in the groove and not bolted in. This causes the rack to rattle while driving when the rooftop tent is on. I can’t hear the squeaky rattle at high speed, but it can be annoying at slower speed or when driving on unpaved roads to a camp site. Sliding the rooftop tent to the rear of the car helps, but does not completely stop the rattles. It can be annoying, but not a deal breaker. It is a well made roof rack and I would definitely buy again even with the squeaky rattle.

First roof rack I’ve ever purchased. Installation was easier than I expected and the rack has been amazing. I put a Roofnest Condor XL on it after it was installed. The low profile of the rack added a little challenge to the install but with the use of my sunroof, I was able to get it squared away. I am very pleased with this product and will be purchasing other items for my 4Runner as my budget allows!

I purchased this rack a few months ago after thoroughly researching what was available for my new 4runner. After a 3000 mile trip through Colorado, Utah and New Mexico with my RTT on top, I can confidently state that the rack performed perfectly. Even while doing the 160 mile Rim Rocker Trail, the rack never made a sound. My son can't say the same thing about his more expensive SSO rack. After the first couple of days he stated that he wished he had bought a Victory. Excellent service and an excellent product...who could ask for more.

The rack came packaged well, and all parts were present. Easy to assemble. You can assemble it by yourself, but definitely get help putting the rack onto your 4Runner. I would also say almost zero wind noise. I’m really happy with it, especially compared to value and price compared to other racks out there.

I had recently purchased my 2017 4Runner TRD Off Road and needed a roofrack that would hold my rooftop tent that I used on a bedrack on my 2004 Tacoma. Of course I had to research about every option available. After getting some reviews on a couple of Facebook pages from some owners of various racks, I chose the Victory 4x4 rack. Several factors pointed me to that choice; looks, price, no drill mount and Victory is a Michigan-based company.
I found a combination the video install and the paper copy included to both help with the process. It went on pretty easily in a couple hours. It makes very little noise while travelling on the freeway too. Another plus. The only issue I have had was mounting the rooftop tent to the rack. Had I known they were going to be that helpful when mounting the tent, I would have just ordered them with the rack when I did. Otherwise, after several months of use, I can highly recommend the full-length roof rack.

First what I love: I love the look of this rack and frankly it is the best looking full length rack out the for the 5th Gen IMO. Shipping was way faster than I expected as I got the rack in less than 3 weeks! Assembly we a piece of cake. Install was also very easy. Had the wife help me get it on the car and I was able to manage the rest.
What I don't love. Because it is a no drill rack you will have to adjust the front of the rack multiple times if you have anything heavy up front. I am carrying a spare right up front and occasionally the rack will bounce and knock on the roof even with the rubber feet. I finally cured this by lifting the front of the rack with a small block and readjusting the feet so they have downward pressure at all times to accommodate the flex and bouncing. Also one corner of the side rails had a pretty sloppy weld that was like a bubble and ugly but it was not structurally faulty and no one else will really notice so I just rolled with it. Finally a few of the mounting hardware nuts ended up stripping from all the adjusting and when I emailed about buying replacement silver hardware I got no reply. I don't want to spend $40+ on the black hardware pack and I may have to source separate hardware if I don't hear back soon.
Overall this is a solid rack and I would recommend it to anyone. Love the look and fit!
